The Bogolan of Mali

Raphia Kuba from Congo
Kuba raffia originates from the Kuba kingdom in the Congo, where it has been woven for generations by local artisans. The fabric is made from raffia fibers extracted from palm leaves, which are then dyed and woven by hand to create intricate patterns and rich textures. Kente from Ghana

Later, the Dutch took up and industrialized this technique, producing wax in large quantities and exporting it to Africa.
